Anna-Preston Schlosser

Founder of Authentic Pilates + Certified Pilates Instructor

Anna Preston began her Pilates practice in 2016 after a back and hip injury from exercising and lifting with incorrect form. Having explored various exercise modalities, she discovered that Pilates was the perfect fit for her body. Pilates stood in a league of its own, demanding not only physical and mental strength but also helped developed a profound mind-body connection that set it apart from any other fitness practice.

Growing up with a background as an equestrian, Anna Preston’s love for movement was ingrained from a young age. She rode for SCAD's collegiate equestrian team and had the privilege of riding and training at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.

In 2019 she began her training with Karyn Staples, PT, PhD, NCPT, and Brent Anderson, PT, PhD, OCS of Polestar Pilates. After completing her certification in Polestar, she began working with her mentor, Grace Parra, a Romana’s Certified classically trained instructor to learn the classical method. She has since continued her education and learned from other leading instructors in the classical realm.

She holds continuing education certifications from NASM and is a Functional Range Conditioning Movement Specialist (FRCms).

She blends classical and contemporary together with a great appreciation for the origin of Pilates. She helps her clients understand their movement patterns, find meaning and mindfulness in movement, and deeper sense of connection to their bodies.
